Direct connection via the B1 (A40) to the motorways A1 (Hansalinie), A45 (Sauerlandlinie), A2 (Berlin - Hanover - Dortmund - Oberhausen), A42 (Duisburg - Dortmund), B1 (A44) (Dortmund - Kassel).
Please follow the signs to Dortmund and pay attention to our own information signs.
Parking spaces for approx. 8,800 cars and buses are available in the immediate vicinity of the Westfalenhallen. Parking charges are 4.00 EUR per car in all parking areas. Refer to the motorway approach plan for details.

Environmental Protection Zone in Dortmund (Umweltzone)
The City of Dortmund introduced an Environmental Protection Zone (EPZ) with effect from 01.10.2008. This zone starts to the north of the A-road Bundesstrasse 1 and covers the city centre of Dortmund. As of 15.11.2008 any vehicles using this EPZ must be in possession of a corresponding sticker. Whilst the grounds of the Westfallenhallen do not constitute part of this EPZ, it may well be however, that you as an exhibitor or event organiser, etc. are affected by having to travel through it.
When am I affected?
You will be affected if you drive through this EPZ on the way to our premises. This is possible for example when you as an exhibitor or event organiser are accommodated in a hotel in the city centre. Here we would like to point out that our Best Western Parkhotel Westfalenhallen is situated outside the EPZ!
It is important to be aware of this also in the case of delivery vehicles, e.g. those involved in setting up exhibitions. It is compulsory to have a sticker if the EPZ cannot be circumnavigated. It is also necessary to point out here however that the typical delivery route, i.e. the Bundesstrasse 1 is not part of the EPZ.
Important:
Anyone found driving in the EPZ without a sticker or special dispensation will, with effect from 15.11.2008, be subjected to a fine.
Where can I get this sticker if I am travelling from abroad?

Please click on the navigation bar on the right under “more language alternatives“ on the flag symbol of the country in question. The text will then be translated into the appropriate language.

Can I also get the sticker directly from the Westfalenhallen?
Unfortunately, on account of the present regulations we are not allowed to provide you with a sticker. We would be most pleased to help you when you get here with information concerning the issuing offices in the vicinity. We do however recommend very strongly that you arrange for your sticker before coming here.
What does the Environmental Protection sticker cost?
The costs vary according to the issuing office. Normally the sticker costs between 4.90 Euros und 11.90 Euros (subject to correction).
What does "Umweltzone" mean?
Umweltzone (Environmental Protection Zone) defines a marked-off area in which only vehicles may be driven which display the compulsory sticker stating details of volumes of particulate matter in the exhaust fumes. The pollutant emission from the vehicles is tested and each vehicle classified into varying emission categories. The EPZ was introduced with the aim of relieving the amount of harmful pollutants in the environment in the city centre.
It is only possible to drive in this area of Dortmund city centre when the vehicle has an EPZ sticker. Only vehicles which are appropriately identified by the sticker or which fulfil the conditions for special dispensation are allowed into this zone.
