Information
Dortmund hosts Europe`s largest exhibition of models, with over 20,000 individual items exhibited in 8 halls, totalling an exhibition area of 48,000 mē.
On display are model aircraft, helicopters, railways and trams, mini cars, motor bikes, mini trucks, steam engines, hot-air balloons, zeppelins, ships, boats, police, fire service and ambulance vehicles, diggers and construction vehicles, carousels - there is hardly any life-size machine not displayed in model form at the INTERMODELLBAU exhibition.
Special points of interest are the aircraft flight shows, a 400 mē demonstration tank for ships and boats, exciting demonstrations of mini trucks in action, working models of construction vehicles, such as diggers and cranes, and mini car racing.
Over 450 manufacturers exhibit their products at INTERMODELLBAU, and four national model-making associations have stands and stage special shows. Over 100,000 people visit the exhibition..
