The INTERMODELLBAU presents in 2011, in the Westfalen halls 2 to 8, a wide spectrum of over 500 commercial and ideational exhibitors. The following companies from the RC-Cars sector, among others, have already registered: Dickie-Tamiya Modellbau, LRP electronic, GM Racing, Jamara, WinnTec and robbe Modellsport.
Dickie-Tamiya is even bringing the world's biggest youth racing series for remote controlled cars to Dortmund: the Tamiya Fighter-Cup. Participants have the opportunity to qualify for the big German Final of the series. For beginners Dickie-Tamiya provides rental cars for free, so that everyone can have a go. In any case, technical tuning is only allowed to a limited extent, the models can only be slightly altered. Finally, it wont be the most expensive model that wins but the best driver, and the priority is to have fun with the hobby. An approach which has stood the test: The Fighter-Cup will be 15 years old this year.
Offerings of the Clubs
Since 1991 the Minicar Club Dortmund e.V <<registered society>> has attended INTERMODELLBAU. "This trade fair is the biggest model making trade fair in Germany, after the Nuremburg toy trade fair," says the club leader. "We represent here the Local Association of German Minicar Clubs." The DMC is presented as an umbrella organisation and a sponsor of the INTERMODELLBAU but also as itself at the trade fair together with the Minicar Club Dortmund and the IG Racing Team Hamm so that interested visitors can by all means find a whole range of expert contacts if required.
In addition the programme of the Minicar Club Dortmund is plain to see once again in 2011 on the racing track in Westfalen hall 3A.
