JAGD & HUND was larger than ever before in its anniversary year: Europe's largest hunting and angling attraction covered around 48,000 square metres of area. Around 670 exhibitors from 35 countries presented their extensive range of products and services to approx. 79,000 interested visitors, who were again happy to spend their money: 9 out of 10 visitors bought or ordered something and generated a total turnover of 36 million Euros in 6 exhibition days.

Internationality still on the increase

JAGD & HUND continues to gain importance far beyond Germany's borders. In 2011 31% of the exhibitors and 14.4% of the visitors came from abroad. The trip to the Messe Westfalenhallen Dortmund paid off for both sides: over 90% of the exhibitors definitely or most probably want to participate in JAGD & HUND 2012 and the same percentage of visitors want to come again next year. For JAGD & HUND fulfils their expectations: it offers new products, information and a whole range of shopping opportunities. In addition, it also presents Europe's most extensive range of hunting and angling trips, which is supported by the concept of a different partner country each year.

Shopping adventure based upon hunting and angling

Hunting accessories, hunting clothing and weapons were in particularly high demand but the presentation of off-road vehicles were also very popular, with the vehicles showing what they are capable of on the spectacular off-road vehicle course in hall 3B. The numerous special shows such as hunting dog and birds of prey demonstrations, the hunting event area and exciting competitions were also visitor magnets. The hub of activity for angling was, as always, Hall 5 with its extensive range of products and special shows. The festival hall 3A, which made its debut in 2011 as a culinary venue, impressed visitors with its many entertaining highlights and will be a permanent part of JAGD & HUND in future.
